COVID-19 Therapy Updates: What Clients Need to Know

Virtual therapy session during COVID-19 therapy updates

A Message to Our Valued Clients and Members About COVID-19 Therapy Updates

We understand the COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges, and our hearts go out to those impacted. At Matters of the Mind, LLC, your health and safety remain our highest priority. Therefore, we are sharing important COVID-19 therapy updates that detail how we are protecting you through enhanced cleaning protocols and service adaptations.

To ensure your safety, we have increased hand washing, frequent sanitizing, and deep cleaning throughout our facilities. Additionally, we kindly ask that you proactively reschedule your appointment at least 48 hours in advance through your Client Portal or by texting 443.854.5586 if you feel unwell, such as experiencing coughing, sneezing, or fever. We have waived cancellation fees related to illness to support you during this time. Please note, any session requests from clients showing cold or flu symptoms will be postponed to safeguard everyone’s health.

Enhanced Safety Measures

In compliance with CDC recommendations, we have intensified our cleaning routines and hygiene practices. This includes regular sanitizing of high-touch surfaces and encouraging hand hygiene to minimize risk. Consequently, these steps help create a safer therapy environment for all clients and staff members.

Transition to Secure Virtual Therapy Sessions

Should local or state authorities mandate quarantine or shutdowns, we will swiftly transition all therapy services to virtual sessions. We utilize Zoom’s HIPAA-compliant and encrypted platform to maintain your privacy and confidentiality. Clients will receive Zoom invitations via email to access their sessions. For the best experience, we recommend using tablets, laptops, or PCs rather than smartphones. To download Zoom, please visit zoom.us/download or your device’s app store.
